Our research based framework for High Quality Time-Off helps employees restore their cognitive resources during work breaks. Developed at UC Berkeley, High Quality Time-Off has five key attributes that help create cognitive, emotional, and physical distance from work. About the Workshop
This workshop is a first step in building a shared language across all stakeholders around employee well-being and burnout prevention. Team members participate in one 30-90 mins. training session on the mechanisms that contribute to burnout and well-being. This sessions is interactive and structured according to the latest best practices for adult learning. This session can also be structured as part of a regular team or all-hands meeting and delivered in-person or virtually. This session opens the door to a collaborative employee well-being conversation, and is a first step toward deeper engagement with our research.
Session Outcomes
- Begin to build a shared sense of community with their managers and peers as practitioners and supporters of High Quality Time-Off.
- Name the five attributes of High Quality Time-Off and the role each model plays in obtaining peak work performance.
- Reflect on the extent to which their current, individual time off practices reflect one or more components of the High Quality Time-Off model.
- Identify and commit to at least one High Quality Time-Off experience.
